He spent hours watching wrestling matches, studying the techniques of his favorite wrestlers, and practicing his own moves in his backyard. Jaxson's parents, while supportive of his dreams, encouraged him to focus on his schoolwork and make friends outside of wrestling. But no matter how hard he tried, Jaxson couldn't shake the feeling that he was meant to be a wrestler. One day, Jaxson stumbled upon a flyer for a local wrestling academy. His heart raced with excitement as he read about the opportunity to learn from experienced wrestlers and train in a real wrestling ring. With a newfound sense of purpose, Jaxson begged his parents to let him enroll in the academy. As Jaxson honed his skills, formed friendships with his fellow wrestlers. One day, while we were planting together, I noticed that Flower struggled to reach a high branch. Gathering my courage, I hopped over to her. “Do you want me to help?” I squeaked, my heart racing like a hare. She looked surprised but smiled back at me. “That would be great, Apple!” I felt a thrill inside when she said my name! I helped her reach the branch, and we laughed together as we worked. It was the first time I’d really spoken to her, and it made me realize that talking to new friends wasn’t so scary. Who knew making friends could be so paws-itively delightful? As days went by, Flower and I grew closer. I learned she had a big heart and wanted to help our village. Together, we found ways to scare away the crows with shiny distractions. After 10 weeks at sea, Mayflower, with 102 passengers, reached the United States, dropping anchor near Cape Cod, Massachusetts, on November 21, 1620. The captain of the Mayflower was Christopher Jones. 3. John Jr went on that The pilgrims wanted to separate from the Church of Egland and they believed God wanted them to voyage to America. During the voyage, the pilgrims passed the time by reading by candlelight or playing cards and games. Upon the arrival on land, the pilgrims were surprised to see the ground frozen and that led to their inability to plant and harvest food. 4. John Jr told Yuehan about the native Indians giving a hand to the pilgrims. The Indians taught the pilgrims how to gather food and survival skills. The help from the Indians save 53 pilgrims from ultimately perishing. Most of the pilgrims died from diseases described as a mixture of scurvy, pneumonia, and tuberculosis. 5. The following year, the 53 pilgrims and 90 Wampanoag Indians had a celebration that we now call Thanksgiving. The Mayflower was torn apart after Christopher Jones passed away. 6. John Jr and Yuehan started counting down the days to Thanksgiving. They planned a special tribute and prayer for the Pilgrim and Indians!
