But the snow was deep, and the fox was too fast. “Wait! I can’t keep up!” she called. The fox sighed. “We have places to go, so I suppose you can ride on my back.” Excited, Gypsy-Rose climbed on, and they sped through the trees. Along the way, they met the fox’s friends—a wise old owl, a towering moose, and a deer with magnificent antlers.
