Gabby is 7 years old, she was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus erythematosus and i want to write a childrens book trying to explain the disease to her in simple terms, how the disease works and what are the triggers so she can avoid them but explain it in terms of a kid at 7 years of age would understand, her triggers are usually the sun, infections and stress, her symptoms are usually pain in her tummy, blood clots and bruising in her hands and feet, recently she had a chest infection that got really bad she had to be in ICU where the doctors had to "turn off" her immune system because it was attacking her heart, kidneys, lungs and brain, she had to be sedated (like sleeping beauty) so she can be intibated and treated with steroids and antibiotics, the story should be like an adventure and not scary, she can be a detective in the story trying to get to know her disease and this is part 1

Tilly has long red hair and is 8 years old. She loves visiting her grandmother on the island. One of her favorite things to do is visiting the wood sprites. The wood sprites are faces carved on oak trees. There is even a mermaid carved on a tree. There is even a legend behind it.

My life

Every morning, my mom puts on her scrubs and her big, bright smile. She says, “Time to help people feel better!” That’s what she does every day. Text: At work, Mom sees lots of people. “Good morning!” she says. “How can I help you today?” She checks them in, takes their temperatures, and even asks how they’re feeling. Page 5-6: (Mom taking someone’s blood pressure with the child peeking in from the side of the page.) Text: Sometimes, she wraps a cuff around their arm and listens closely. “Your blood pressure looks great!” she says with a nod. She’s like a detective, solving little health puzzles. Page 7-8: (Mom helping the doctor in the exam room, holding tools or updating charts.) Text: Mom works with the doctor, too. She gets things ready, takes notes, and makes sure everything runs smoothly. “She’s my right-hand helper,” the doctor always says. Page 9-10: (An illustration of Mom holding a little girl’s hand and calming her down before a shot.) Text: Some patients feel nervous, like Sarah, who’s scared of getting a shot. “Don’t worry,” Mom says softly, “I’ll be right here with you.” And just like that, Sarah is brave enough to try. Page 11-12: (Mom cleaning up, answering phones, or scheduling appointments at the desk.) Text: Mom does so much! She answers phones, cleans tools, and even schedules appointments. “It’s like keeping the whole office healthy,” she tells me. Page 13-14: (The child waiting for their mom at home, hugging her as she walks in the door.) Text: When Mom comes home, I run to hug her. “Did you help lots of people today?” I ask. She smiles. “I sure did!” Page 15-16: (A heartwarming illustration of Mom and the child reading a bedtime story together.) Text: Even after a long day, Mom always has time for me. She reads my favorite story, and I feel so lucky. Because my mom isn’t just any helper—she’s my hero.

Zeke is afraid of the dark and sleeping by himself in his bedroom. Mom kisses him goodnight but Zeke is too scared to let her leave. She says hold on and returns with a gem. She says it's a magical dream gem and if kisses it, closes his eyes, and whispers what he wants to see in his dreams, then it will take him them there. She tucks him in and leaves his room. Zeke hides under his blanket and whispers "dragon" to the gem. He closes his eyes and when he opens them he is surprised to find himself in a cave. He doesn't feel like himself. He looks down and sees that he has transformed into a mighty dragon. He goes on a fun adventure before seeing the magical gem on top of a pile of treasure. He says goodbye to his new friends and grabs the gem. He closes his eyes again and when he opens them, he is back in bed waking up to a new day. He is no longer afraid of the dark and going to sleep as he is excited for what adventures are in store for him when he goes to sleep with his magical gem.

Once upon a time, in a peaceful park, a young girl named Annie stumbled upon a lost and frightened rabbit who she quickly befriended. Comiskey was a gray and brown rabbit who was very timid and scared of the outside world, except for Annie. She was the only person he trusted and felt comfortable around.As Comiskey settled into his new life as a house pet, he faced many challenges. He struggled with anxiety and fear of the unknown. However, Annie was always there to encourage him to take risks and explore his surroundings. With her help, he learned to be optimistic and face his fears head-on. Despite the many obstacles he faced, Comiskey continued to grow and thrive. Through his journey, he learned that anything is possible with a positive attitude and a little bit of courage. In the end, Comiskey realized that he had come so far from the scared rabbit he once was. He had become a brave and adventurous bunny, all thanks to Annie's unwavering love and support.

Page 3 Alex suggested they visit the Old Wai village. There were many old buildings, and the walls had small holes to see outside. The kids felt like they were in a storybook. Page 4 In the village, they met an uncle who told them the history of Lung Yeuk Tau. The kids listened eagerly, especially about the Tang family and the pirates. Page 5 Next, they went to the Tin Hau Temple and saw the statue and ancient bells. Lily asked, “What are those bells for?” The uncle explained, “They are used to pray for safety!” Page 6 The kids decided to have lunch in front of the temple. The uncle shared some traditional snacks with them, and they felt the warmth of Lung Yeuk Tau's culture. Page 7 After lunch, they visited the Song Ling Tang Temple. Sam said, “This place is so interesting! We can learn a lot about history here.” Everyone agreed and felt very happy. Page 8 At the end, the kids took a group photo on the mountain, promising to come back to Lung Yeuk Tau for more adventures. They headed home with wonderful memories.
