1. Sydney discovers a cute little worm on her bedroom window and decides to keep it as a pet, putting it in a jar. She takes care of it every day, feeling happy to have her own pet. 2. One day, Sydney notices that her worm is missing from the jar, replaced by a lump of cotton. She frantically searches for the worm throughout the house, calling for it, but can't find it. 3.Sydney cries to her older brother, John, telling him that her worm is gone. John reassures her, explaining that the worm has turned into a cocoon, and soon it will become a butterfly. 4. Sydney is relieved, and as they watch, the cocoon moves, and a beautiful butterfly emerges. John explains that the butterfly should be set free, and although Sydney is reluctant, she agrees and watches as the butterfly flies away.

But what Patrick really wanted was to live among the dinosaurs. One night, as Patrick lay in bed, he wished with all his heart, I wish I could see real dinosaurs! Suddenly, his room filled with a soft green light. When he opened his eyes, he wasn’t in his room anymore—he was in a jungle! Patrick looked around and gasped. Tall trees swayed above him, and the ground rumbled under his feet. Then, he heard a loud THUD… THUD… THUD! Patrick turned and saw a giant dinosaur with a long neck eating leaves from a tree. “Wow! A Brachiosaurus!” Patrick whispered. The dinosaur looked down at him and gave a gentle nod. Then, Patrick heard a deep RUMBLE. He looked to his left and saw another huge dinosaur with a long neck and a thick tail. “A Brontosaurus!” Patrick said with a big smile. The Brontosaurus made a low, friendly sound and walked past him. Suddenly, the ground shook again. This time, it was different. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Patrick turned and saw the most amazing dinosaur of all—a Tyrannosaurus Rex! The T-Rex roared, but it didn’t seem scary. Instead, it looked at Patrick with curious eyes. “You’re my favorite dinosaur!” Patrick said, feeling excited. The T-Rex let out a playful growl and lowered its head. Patrick climbed onto its back. “Let’s go!” he cheered. The T-Rex ran through the jungle, past rivers and volcanoes, past flying Pteranodons and small running raptors. Patrick laughed and held on tight. It was the best adventure ever! But then, a soft voice whispered, Patrick… Patrick… time to wake up! Patrick blinked and found himself back in his bed. His mom was standing by his side, smiling. “Did you have a good dream?” she asked. Patrick grinned. “The BEST dream ever!” And from that day on, every night, Patrick wished to visit the land of dinosaurs again. The End.

Harvey is a 16 year old boy who is working as a newspaper delivery boy for the newspaper company. He gets paid every Thursday. This is his first job and he gets paid by check. Mr. Smith is his boss. Thursday Harvey gets his first paycheck and gets very sad. He was supposed to make 100 dollars but the check is only 70 dollars. Mr. Smith sees that Harvey gets sad and explains to him what deductions are. He starts with federal taxes which is about 8 dollars from Harvey's paycheck. The government collects taxes from all citizens to built bridges and highways and fund the army. He then explains what the social security deduction is for and also, medicare, state and city taxes. At the end Harvey is glad that the government is thinking to save money for him so he gets it when he retires. Sparky is Harvey's dog. He is sad when Harvey is sad and then gets happy at the end when Harvey understands how taxes work.

1. John Jr and Nazut were playing in the backyard, when the saw a few hot air balloons in the sky. 2. John Jr and Nazut thought it looked fun and went inside to tell John Jr's parents. 3. John Jr's parents seemed pretty receptive to possibly going on a Hot Air Ballon as a family. They told John Jr and Nazut to find out more information. 4. John Jr and Nazut went to the internet. They found a company that wasn't too far from their home. 5. They found out it would cost about $200 per person and would last about an hour. John Jr and Nazut went back and told John Jr's parents and his mom made the reservations. 6. The long awaited day for the hot air balloon arrived and it was beautifully clear. As the pilot inflates the balloon, John Jr and Nazut can feel the heat from the burners and hear them roar. Once balloon was upright everyone boarded the super size basket. The take off was slow. John Jr and Nazut felt a breeze everytime they went to a new altitude. 6. John Jr and Nazut feel weightless as they glide through the air with the wind, traveling at speeds of five to six miles per hour. The 360 degree view was spectacular. Everything below looked so tiny. As the end of the ride approached, John Jr and Nazut thanked the pilot for "a magical experience that' was peaceful, exhilarating, and gentle." 7. The pilot had to keep using the burners to get the balloon to land. Once landed, everyone left the basket. John Jr and Nazut Thanked the pilot for an awesome time.
