Born prematurely at 7 months, spent 3 months in NICU (2 in incubation, 1 in observation). I lacked lungs at birth; doctors gave a boost for development. First birthday celebrated triumphantly with dinosaurs, gifts, games, and loads of toys. Second birthday was an intimate affair with balloons, cakes, and more toys.
