Page 6: The elf and the gnomes shared one golden rule: Be kind and loving—it’s the greatest tool. No touching the elf, or the gnomes’ tiny hats, For their magic might fade if you do that! Page 7: On Christmas morning, the elf would go, To rest with Santa in the North Pole snow. But the gnomes would stay for one more night, Until the last Hanukkah candle shone bright. Page 8: This house was now special, filled with two kinds of cheer, A blend of traditions to celebrate the year. The elf and the gnomes both nodded with glee, "Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas, to thee!"

1. John Jr and Hopsi was trying to figure out the virtue of hope. They went and asked John Jr's Mom to help them understand it better. John Jr's Mom sat down and said that she would explain hope to them. 2. John Jr's mom said hope was a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. She said it is when we really want something to happen. She said we cherish our desires with an expectation in order to have hope. 3. John Jr's Mom urged John Jr and Hopsi to think about the future and to make plans. She said that envisioning a brighter or better future would allow John Jr and Hopsi to stay optimistic. 4. John Jr's Mom explained the types of hope. Material Hope, which is the sense of control when given the resources to deal with forces that affect everyday lives; Socractic Hope, which provides opportunities to question the unjust society; and Audacious Hope, which provides us strength through Christ , so we don't loose heart. The book of Isaiah in the Bible says we need to be Fearless and bold with our Audacious Hope. 5. John Jr found in the Bible the verse Romans 15:13 ~ "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." John Jr and Hopsi decided that they would always stay hopeful. They decided that they would start praying for a better tomorrow.

Turtle is getting ready for his first day of school at Ashton Ballito. He is feeling a few butterflies in his tummy but he is excited to play with his friends, Starfish and Seahorse.

Every morning, I wake up early. First, I brush my teeth and wash my face. Then, I have breakfast with my family. We eat rice, eggs, and sometimes fruit. After breakfast, I get ready for school. I wear my uniform and pack my bag with books and pencils. Then, I walk to school with my friends. We talk and laugh on the way. At school, I have many classes like math, science, and English. I enjoy English class because I want to speak fluently like you. After classes, I eat lunch with my friends. We share food and stories. After school, I go home and do my homework. Sometimes it's hard, but I try my best. When I finish, I help my mom with chores like washing dishes or sweeping the floor. Then, I play with my little brother. We like to play games or watch cartoons together. In the evening, we have dinner as a family. We eat delicious Thai food like noodles or curry. After dinner, I take a shower and read a book before bedtime. Then, I say goodnight to my family and go to sleep.
