In a small village, in a wide yard filled with soft earth and fascinating scents, I lived with my mother and siblings. My mother, a small and clever Pinscher, watched over us. When we curled up around her, I felt the safest in the world. But then, one day, strangers arrived. I watched as all my siblings disappeared, one by one, into the warm hands of new humans. Until my turn came. A pair of hands gently lifted me, and I panicked. Where were they taking me? Where was Mom? The car drove and drove, the scenery outside kept changing, the smells were different, and my heart pounded hard. When we arrived, I heard a new voice: “Wow… he’s so tiny!” “Yeah, cute, right? Don’t worry, he’ll get used to it.” “But… I’m not sure how to take care of a dog.” My breath shortened. They weren’t sure? What if they didn’t want me? At first, it was tough. They put me in a small crate that didn’t feel like home. At night, it was too quiet, and my stomach tightened with longing. I whimpered softly, hoping Mom would hear me and come… but she didn’t. During the day, they let me run in the big yard. I sniffed every corner, searching for something familiar—but everything was new. And when evening came, and they tried to put me back in the crate… I wouldn’t let them! I ran, dodged, and jumped from side to side. I saw them laughing but also getting tired of chasing me. And little by little, I started to adjust. They loved me. They petted me. They smiled at me. Even her—the one who wasn’t sure at first—one day, she picked me up, looked into my eyes with softness, and whispered, “You’re so sweet.” And then I understood. I was home.

The Pied Piper played a tune on his flute. The rats followed him. The Pied Paper walked towards the river. The rats fell into the water and were never to be seen again. The people were thrilled that the rats were gone. But the town leaders refused to thank and pay Pied Piper. They broke their promise. The Pied Piper felt sad. He decided to teach the town a lesson. He played a different tune on his flute. This time all the children of the town followed him. They followed him out of town, through a secret door in a mountain, and into a magical land. From that day the town of Hamelin had no children.

A chorus of cheers erupted as Micha, Christian, Peter, Abigail, Avisena, and Alvaro rushed toward the cozy corner filled with books. The shelves were lined with colorful covers, each one holding a new adventure. “Wow! So many books!” Micha exclaimed, running his fingers along the spines. The students took the books and read them. 3. After a while, he gathered them in a circle. “Let’s share our favorite parts,” he encouraged. Micha’s eyes sparkled. “I love the adventure! The boy in my book explores jungles and mountains.” Christian spread his arms like wings. “I wish I could fly too! Imagine soaring above the clouds.” “I want to grow my own magical garden,” Abigail said, clasping her hands together. “Wouldn’t it be amazing?” Peter sat up straight. “I’d love to be a brave prince, just like in my book.” Alvaro nudged Avisena. “The bear and the bird remind me of us. Even though they’re different, they’re still best friends.” 4. Mr. Darfi nodded, his heart full. “That’s the magic of books. They show us that we all have special stories to tell. And most importantly, they remind us that everyone belongs.” The children smiled at each other, feeling proud of who they were. “We’ll share our stories too!” Mr. Darfi beamed. “That’s the spirit. When we share our stories, we make the world a better place.” And with that, the children turned back to their books, ready to discover more adventures together.

Page 8: (Miko and Lizzy struggled in class but their ADHD was an advantage!) After visiting Dr Wild, the Wildebeest, Miko and Lizzy learnt to do things that would help them to manage their ADHD. Page 9: Miko became the captain of the sand surfing team and had the fastest record in the desert! Miko was also top of his insect tracking class and created the first ever pair of insect spy goggles that could see different insect tracks and tells you what type of insect you are looking at! Page 10: Lizzy enjoyed stargazing so much that she was top of the class for astronomy and could name every constellation. Page 11: Even though Miko and Lizzy had some tough times with their ADHD, they both learnt cool tricks to help them feel better and do their best.
