Taylor suggests "the Little Drummer Boy" Alex does not like this idea because Alex is Jewish. Alex suggests singing "Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel". But Avery, who is not religious does not want to sing a song about Hannukah. River suggests they sing "Rudolf the red nosed reindeer". the children are excited except Mako. Mako says she does not know that song because she does not celebrate Christmas. The other children ask Mako to just sit out. Ms. Dennis tells them no, they are not going to exclude someone. Ms. Dennis tells the children find something they have in common, and asks them to bring an item that symbolizes the holidays they celebrate. When the children return, Avery brought a red, a blue, and a gold candle Avery's family celebrates Human Light, the candles represent, reason, compassion & hope. Jordan brings a Kinara his family celebrates Kwanzaa they light the candles to symbolize their community. Taylor brings a star from his Christmas tree. He explains that he celebrates Christmas and that the star is a reminder of the North Star the wise men followed to find Jesus. Mako brings a Bodi tree with lights. Mako's her family celebrates Bodi day, the day when the Buddha achieved enlightenment the lights on the tree represent the path to enlightenment. Alex brings a Menorah, Alex's family celebrates Hannukah, and the candles symbolize light's triumph over dark. River brings in a crown made of holly candles sticking out of it. her family celebrates Winter Solstice & the return of the sun. Ms. Dennis says all their celebrations revolve around light and the symbol of the Unitarian Universalist Church is a flaming chalice, each of the children have a light inside of them. River suggests they sing "This little light of mine" for the winter concert. Everyone agrees.

"We can play in the snow and drink warm soup together." They walked to Lulu the Frog’s house near the pond and knocked. "Lulu? Are you home?" Didi called. But no one answered. Mimi peeked inside. "Lulu isn’t here," she said, confused. They searched behind the house, under a tree, and around the frozen pond. No sign of Lulu. "Where could she be?" asked Didi, shivering. "Do you think she’s gone forever?" "I hope not," Mimi said sadly. "Lulu is our best friend." As they sat under a big tree feeling down, Mimi suddenly remembered. "Wait! Frogs hibernate in winter!" "What does that mean?" asked Didi. "It means Lulu isn’t gone," Mimi explained. "She’s sleeping through the winter to stay safe from the cold." "She’s just sleeping?" Didi’s eyes widened. "Exactly," Mimi said. Cheering up, the friends decided to make something special for Lulu. They built a snowman outside her house and left a note: "We miss you, Lulu! See you in spring!" When spring arrived, Lulu woke up and stretched. She saw the melted snowman and the note. Smiling, she hopped to the pond, where Mimi and Didi were waiting. "Lulu!" they cheered, running to her. This book is about a family of four, a mom, a dad and a girl that is 9 and a boy that is 7. The story starts with the dad asking the kids if they remember the day that he got hurt at work. He is sitting on the couch and the children are sitting next to him. He then explains that he was hurt and ended up with a traumatic brain injury which is just a fancy way of saying his brain got hurt and needed time to heal again. He explains different symptoms to the children and that even though he gets mad and sad at times that it is not their fault. He loves them very much and needs them to be strong for their mom. Together they will all heal in time and he is sorry that it gets confusing at times. But he wants them to know he loves them no matter what happens.

Despite their differences, they were the best of friends, spending their days playing and searching for food together. One day, the monkey came up with an idea and said excitedly: "My dear donkey, let's go to the farm at the edge of the forest! It’s full of delicious fruits. This is our chance!" The donkey hesitated and replied: "But that farm belongs to humans. It might be dangerous." The monkey laughed and jumped around. "Don’t worry, my friend! I’m fast, and you’re strong. They won’t catch us!" The donkey, trusting his friend, agreed. They sneaked into the farm, and the monkey quickly climbed the trees, picking bananas and apples, tossing them down to the donkey, who happily ate. Suddenly, they heard the farmer shouting: "Who’s stealing my fruits?!" The monkey instantly jumped up and disappeared into the trees. But the donkey, unable to move quickly, froze in place. The farmer rushed over, caught him, and tied him in the barn as punishment. Meanwhile, the monkey escaped back to the forest alone. Hours passed, and guilt filled the monkey’s heart. He couldn't leave his friend behind. That night, he sneaked back into the farm, carefully opened the barn door, and whispered: "Donkey, let’s get out of here!" The donkey hurried outside, but before leaving, he stopped and said: "You knew this was dangerous, yet you convinced me to do it. A true friend doesn’t leave his friend behind in trouble." The monkey felt ashamed and apologized sincerely. He had learned a valuable lesson about friendship and loyalty. From that day on, he became wiser and never put his friend in danger again. Act 4: The deer gratefully leads them to the Mushroom Valley, meets the ancient mushroom elder, and learns how to make a pacifier. Act 5: The mushroom elder tells them that they need a special mushroom juice, which grows on the dragon and phoenix flowers deep in the forest. Act Six: The sisters overcame many difficulties, found the dragon and phoenix flowers, successfully made new pacifiers, and learned to make mushroom ornaments. Act 7: Back home, Qingqing happily showed off her new pacifier. The three sisters spent a happy time together and learned the importance of friendship and unity.
