Mikoto was an orphan who grew up with his foster parents, Sashimoto and Kenimura. Early in the morning, he used to help his parents with the household chores. He used to fetch water from a nearby deep well to water their vegetables in the backyard. His parents owned a bakery where Shokupan was their best seller.
