Nik is from Haiti and moving to America to go to school. He is excited to meet his new family, 3 brothers and 2 sisters and a dog. He is very scared to leave Haiti. Nik was scared on the plane but loved seeing the big city lights. He liked his new home, it was bigger than hes ever seen. The washing machine and dryer was very scary to him because he had never seen one before. His dog Luna was sweet and friendly. All of the food is very different. He didn't like ice cream or cake but he loved spaghetti and pizza. Nik was both excited and sad at bedtime. He's never had a room or a bed to himself so it was a little scary. His new mom stayed with him until he was ready for sleep. As he lied there alone, looking at the stars in the sky, he wasn't scared anymore because he knew his family in Haiti was looking at the same stars.

Charlie is everybody's best friend. He is kind considerate and aware of the feelings of others. Charlie is also very smart and extremely articulate for his age. Charlie lives in a family with a beautiful mom and wonderful dad and four brothers. Charlie has two older brothers and two younger brothers and a big white dog named Bear. Drippy felt the heat and began to rise into the air, turning into a tiny water vapor. Drippy was starting a big adventure! Drippy joined other tiny drops of water to form a cloud. The clouds were fluffy and soft, and Drippy was excited to be part of something so big. In the cloud, Drippy made new friends with other water drops. They danced around in the wind, having so much fun! But soon, Drippy noticed the cloud getting darker and heavier. It was starting to feel crowded with so many drops of water. One day, the cloud couldn’t hold all the water drops any longer. After the rain stopped, Drippy felt the ground begin to shake. The puddle it landed in started to flow toward a stream. Part 6: Into the Ocean! The stream grew bigger and bigger, merging with other rivers until it finally reached the vast ocean. Drippy was amazed by how big and blue the ocean looked. It spread out as far as the eye could see! Drippy had never imagined such a large body of water. Now, Drippy was a part of the ocean, and there was so much more to explore. One warm day, the sun’s heat started to warm up the ocean. Drippy felt light again and began to rise, just like before.
