Mikoto was an orphan who grew up with his foster parents, Sashimoto and Kenimura. Early in the morning, he used to help his parents with the household chores. He used to fetch water from a nearby deep well to water their vegetables in the backyard. His parents owned a bakery where Shokupan was their best seller. After school, he helped in the bakery until he became a famous baker in town. Sashimoto and Kenimura were very proud of Mikoto. They believed that Mikoto was their lucky charm to progress in their business. In return, they gave him all the luxuries in life – a mansion, car, and even expensive jewelry pieces. After ten months, Mikoto seldom went to the bakery because he became addicted to gaming and liquor. He even sold his car.

Emma lives in Scarborough with her single mother. They live in an apartment building. Her mom does 2 jobs to make ends meet, however with high rent and cost of living, theyhardly have enough money for food. So one day, along with her mom, Emma goes to the local foodbank that is run by Feed Scarborough. At the foodbank, while Emma was waiting in one corner reading some fun books, while her mom was shopping at the foodbank, Emma saw a racoon walking around, playing with an apple. Emma started talking with the Racoon. Racoon told Emma that his name is Dignity, and the apple is his friend, named Hope. Dignity told emma all about food insecurity in our community and that she is not the only one who comes to the foodbank. Feed Scarborough's foodbanks are set up like a grocery store, so her mom can pick and choose the food that Emma likes. Dignity also told Emma about so many children, who are not having enough food to eat nowadays as times are tough. Dignity told Emma that better days are coming soon as Toronto's Mayor and Canada's Prime Minister is working together to have better food in school so no children need to study in empty stomach. As dignity was telling Emma these stories, suddenly Emma heard her Mom's voice, calling out to her. As she turned towards the door, she saw her mom asking her to come with her so they can leave the foodbank. As Emma turned back, Dignity and Hope was nowhere to be seen. Was Dignity and Hope real? Were they really there telling Emma the story or were they franction of her imagination, as on the wall, there was a poster of Dignity and Hope (which are the mascots of Feed Scarborough.

The wise tortoise asked everyone to listen carefully and then began to speak slowly: “My dear friends, first of all, we must stay calm. Tıkır, did you take Mırmır’s acorns on purpose, or was it a mistake?” Tıkır bowed his head in sadness and said, “It was not my fault. I only picked up the ones that had fallen to the ground and took them to my burrow, thinking they were mine.”Kavi smiled and turned to Mırmır: “Mırmır, my friend, we now see that Tıkır made a mistake. But would you rather forgive this mistake, or continue fighting?”Mırmır thought for a moment and then sighed: “I know my friend didn’t do this with bad intentions. Her team made it to the championship. During the game she scored a point and pulled a lot of flags. While running with the ball she was knocked over and was hurt. She even cried. However, with one play left and the game on the line, her team needed her to play defense. She told her coach she was ready and went in. She was able to pull the flag and end the game, winning the championship.

The protagonist is soon to be become a full fledged wizard, but until that happens he/she must go through a series of challenges. There is a friendly teacher, Ms. Melania, she is old and wise. She teaches potions.
