"The Necklace" is a well-known short story by French author Guy de Maupassant. The story describes a young wife in Paris, living in the late 1800s, who has a middle class lifestyle but, at the same time, craves wealth and status. Page 7: Juliet dosnt know if she will ever see her husband again. She lyes on her bed crying for her love. Page 8: That night she decides to sneak out of the kigdom to go be with romeo in anouther kingdom. She gets to the castle walls and sees romeo who was hoping she would come to be with him.
